A sweepstakes list built from sponsors' own pages: dates, entry routes and limits
A sweepstakes list from sponsor pages shows PepsiCo's Back to Football Promotion open through December 27, 2026 and Coca-Cola promotions ending between September 30, 2026 and March 31, 2027. The route is a Product Code, a weekly drop or a free alternate method, depending on the sponsor. Each sponsor's official rules set the route and the dates, so the sponsor's own page outranks any list.

Sweepstakes to enter this year and one that runs into 2027
The dates in the table run from September 30, 2026 to March 31, 2027, and every Coca-Cola page states a closing time of 11:59 pm ET, so the date on the page is the last day in Eastern time. PepsiCo's page gives its end date as through December 27, 2026. A sweepstakes list that drops the time zone drops the part an entrant needs on the last day.
Sponsor pages outrank lists for a plain reason: a list copies a date once, and the page is where the official rules sit. AARP's own sweepstakes page tells readers to see the Official Rules for all details, alternate methods of entry, end dates, odds and prize descriptions, both for its sweepstakes and for its daily instant win games.
Online sweepstakes sites and apps come after the sponsor in that order. A third-party sweepstakes list can point at a promotion, but it cannot add a route the sponsor's own page does not state.
Sweepstakes entry limits: a day, a website, a period or a member
Limits come in four units, and the unit changes what a second try does. HGTV's Smart Home 2026 rules allow one entry per eligible person, per website, per day during the promotion period. If multiple entries arrive the same day on the same website, only the first is accepted, and the later ones are disqualified.
Coca-Cola's pages state the number of periods and link to the official rules for the rest. The units are not interchangeable: a daily limit resets every day, while a period deadline, in Food Network Kitchen's rules, closes entries for the corresponding drawing.
- Per person, per website, per day: HGTV's Smart Home 2026 rules, with extra same-day submissions on the same website disqualified.
- Per person, per day: Food Network Kitchen's We Cook Together Sweepstakes, with submissions received by the end of each period.
- Per eligible Insider: Wyndham Hotels' Insider travel sweepstakes allows one entry for each eligible Insider.
- Per period: Coca-Cola's pages state the number of periods, 11 for the US Hockey sweepstakes, 8 for A Full Year of Favorites and 3 for Sprite Living Tracklist.
HGTV Smart Home 2026: what the rules say about paying and promotion periods
HGTV's Smart Home 2026 contest rules say that a purchase will not increase the chance of winning. That is the sweepstakes rule in its plainest form: the prize goes by chance, and money changes nothing about it.
The same rules hang everything on a promotion period, and the limit is counted inside it: one entry per eligible person, per website, per day during the promotion period. A brand name alone does not say whether an HGTV sweepstakes is open. The period in the official rules does.
Food Network sweepstakes: We Cook Together and entries posted on Instagram or Twitter
Food Network Kitchen's We Cook Together Sweepstakes ran from May 1, 2020 until June 1, 2020, so it is a finished promotion, and its official rules show how a social-media sweepstakes is built. All entries had to be submitted on Instagram or Twitter and received by the end time and date of each entry period to be eligible for the corresponding drawing.
The rules also limited entrants to one entry per eligible person per day during the promotion period. Two clocks therefore ran at once, a daily limit and a period deadline, and the drawing belonged to the period in which the post arrived.
PCH giveaways: where the free alternate method of entry is explained
PCH, short for Publishers Clearing House, says in its FAQ that each promotion provides a free alternate method of entry, with instructions for entering without paying included in the Official Rules. The official rules, published by PCH Digital, LLC, go further: no payment or financial contribution of any kind is necessary to enter or win any giveaway.
There is no cost to enter any giveaway, PCH's rules add, and free alternate methods are always available for all giveaways. A sweepstakes list that shows a PCH listing is showing a pointer to those rules, not the rules. A message that asks for money to release a PCH prize contradicts them.
Travel sweepstakes: Wyndham's Insider entries and Coca-Cola's getaway and flyaway pages
Wyndham Hotels' Insider travel sweepstakes allows one entry per eligible Insider, and its rules add that spending money will not increase the chances of winning. The limit belongs to the member, not to the day or the website.
Coca-Cola's Match Day Getaway and Daytona 500 Flyaway sweepstakes are named like trips, and what their pages state is narrower: end dates of October 31 and December 31, 2026, and a pointer to the official rules. The Match Day Getaway page names the free entry method as something those rules explain.
Legality and scams: the FTC's line and what a win message must match
The Federal Trade Commission's advertising guide for small business says that sweepstakes-type promotions that require a purchase by participants are illegal in the United States, which rules out any pay-to-play contest. PCH, HGTV and Wyndham each write a no-payment or no-advantage line into their rules.
A sweepstakes awards prizes by chance, so nothing on any sweepstakes list can promise a win. The odds sit in the official rules: AARP's page names odds among the details its Official Rules hold.
A win message has to pass three matches: a sweepstakes the reader entered, a sponsor whose official rules list the route, and a promotion period that includes the day the reader took part. A message claiming to come from PCH that asks for money to release a prize contradicts PCH's own rules.
Reddit threads and third-party pages: pointers, not sponsors
Reddit's help centre calls promotions an umbrella term for contests, sweepstakes and lotteries, and it does not permit lotteries on or using Reddit without explicit permission. A Reddit thread about a sweepstakes can point at a sponsor's promotion, but the sponsor's official rules are what govern taking part.
Cash App's Afterpay sweepstakes shows what a sponsor's own page adds: it was open only to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and D.C. aged 18 or older on the date of entry, and it offered an alternate entry method through a Google Form. Those are terms a sweepstakes list can repeat but cannot change.

The route
-
Start from the sponsor's own promotion page
PepsiCo runs its Back to Football Promotion on a promotion website, and Coca-Cola prints each end date and the closing time, 11:59 pm ET, on its own pages. Those pages, not a sweepstakes list, are the record.
-
Read the route the page states
The route is a Product Code for PepsiCo, an account or log-in and a weekly drop for Coca-Cola's Friday for the Win, and a pointer to the official rules for the free route on Coca-Cola's Match Day Getaway page.
-
Note the limit and the unit it counts in
HGTV counts one entry per person, per website, per day. Food Network Kitchen's We Cook Together rules counted one per person per day, and Wyndham's Insider travel sweepstakes counts one per eligible Insider.
-
Check residence and age
Coca-Cola's Football Ultimate Fan promotion is open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. states and D.C. who are 18 or older, and Cash App's Afterpay sweepstakes used the same residence and age clause.
-
Match any win message to the rules
PCH's official rules state that no payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win any giveaway. A win message that asks for money, or names no sponsor and no promotion period, matches nothing on a sponsor's page.
Questions from entrants
Is a PCH sweepstakes real?
Yes. PCH's official rules, published by PCH Digital, LLC, state that no payment or financial contribution of any kind is necessary to enter or win any giveaway, and that free alternate methods are always available. A message that asks for money to release a PCH prize contradicts those rules.
Are sweepstakes real?
Yes. A real sweepstakes has a named sponsor, a stated end date and official rules, and PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, HGTV and PCH each publish theirs. A message that names none of the three has nothing on a sponsor's page to match.
How to find sweepstakes to enter?
Sponsors' own promotion pages carry the dates and the route, as PepsiCo's promotion website and Coca-Cola's sweepstakes pages do. A third-party sweepstakes list can point to a promotion, but the end date and the route are read on the sponsor's page.
How to get sweepstakes?
A sweepstakes is entered through the route its sponsor's page states. PepsiCo uses a Product Code on its promotion website, Coca-Cola's Friday for the Win uses an account or log-in and a weekly drop, and PCH explains a free alternate method in its official rules.
How to find sweepstakes on Reddit?
Reddit threads about sweepstakes are pointers, not sponsors. Reddit's help centre treats contests, sweepstakes and lotteries as promotions and does not permit lotteries on or using Reddit without its explicit permission, so the sponsor's official rules govern participation.
How often can one person enter HGTV's Smart Home 2026 sweepstakes?
HGTV's Smart Home 2026 rules allow one entry per eligible person, per website, per day during the promotion period. If multiple entries arrive the same day on the same website, only the first is accepted and later ones are disqualified.
Does spending money improve the chance of winning a sweepstakes?
No. HGTV's Smart Home 2026 rules and Wyndham Hotels' Insider travel sweepstakes rules each say that spending money will not increase the chance of winning, and PCH's rules say no payment is necessary to win.

This sweepstakes list does not run a sweepstakes or accept entries, and it cannot confirm that a message or web page belongs to a sponsor. A sweepstakes awards prizes by chance, so taking part is a chance and nothing more, and each sponsor's official rules decide eligibility, limits, end dates and odds.
A prize contest that counts votes or likes on a social platform sits under two sets of rules. Meta prohibits selling, buying or exchanging engagement such as likes and shares, and Reddit bans accounts, temporarily or permanently, for vote manipulation. Organisers add their own penalties: BET's sweepstakes rules disqualified attempts to cast votes that were exchanged, bought or received by one person from multiple accounts.
Organisers describe an ordinary voter in their rules. Disney's Mousequerade sweepstakes let each entrant vote once and voided votes above that limit from the same person, email address or household, and the BBC Radio 1 Dance Awards treated votes outside the announced hours as invalid. Ordinary participation therefore comes from separate people inside the period; this describes what organisers count and is not a way past what they check.
In the United States, the FTC says real sweepstakes are free and decided by chance, and calls it illegal to ask you to pay or buy something to enter or to increase your odds of winning. That is why no order for votes is taken for a sweepstakes, giveaway or raffle. A contest decided by public vote is a different kind of thing, and whether paying for votes in one is lawful where you live is a question for a lawyer. Political ballots are refused too.
Votes ordered for a poll or contest that never appear in its count are refunded once the organiser's voting has closed. Timing is the organiser's call: National Geographic did not count likes, shares or other activity before its voting period began, and Sports & Social may end text voting early. A result, a disqualification or a voided vote stays with the organiser.
